How to reach FBS safely
Auron FX is an independent guide. It is not the official website of FBS, it does not hold your money, and it cannot see your trading account. The buttons on this page open FBS through our partner link, so FBS may pay us a commission if you open an account. That does not change your trading costs and it does not change the conditions FBS gives you.
Fake broker sites are common in this market. Before you type a password, check that the address in the browser is the real FBS domain, that the page loads over HTTPS, and that nobody on Telegram, WhatsApp or Facebook has asked you to send money to a personal account. A genuine broker never asks you to deposit into a private person's wallet or to share your password or one-time codes. Turkish regulators have already blocked clone sites that copied the FBS name, which shows how often the brand is imitated.

What FBS is and who runs it
FBS is an online broker for forex, metals, energies, stock indices, stocks and cryptocurrency CFDs. The official site lists more than 550 instruments. The brand dates from 2009, and people search for it in many ways, for example "FBS forex", "FBS broker" or "FBS trader". It is one brand with several legal entities behind it.
Which FBS company serves you depends on where you live. Clients from most emerging markets are normally served by FBS Markets Inc, an offshore company reported to be licensed by the Financial Services Commission of Belize. The group also has entities for other regions: Tradestone Ltd under CySEC for the European Union and the United Kingdom, an Australian company under ASIC, and a South African company under the FSCA. Those entities mainly serve clients in their own regions and are not the ones you would normally contract with from South Asia, Nigeria or Egypt. Licence numbers are quoted differently on different review sites, so we do not repeat any here. Read the legal documents in your own account to see the exact company on your agreement, then check that name on the regulator's public register.
The FBS homepage also lists dozens of industry awards. Many awards in this industry are paid or sponsored categories, so treat them as marketing and not as proof of safety.
Is FBS legit? The honest answer
FBS is not a fake website. It has operated for well over a decade, it has legal entities in several jurisdictions, and it has a large client base in Asia. At the same time, "real company" does not mean "free of regulator warnings", and you should know the main ones before you deposit.
- India: FBS appears on the Reserve Bank of India Alert List (entry no. 8 in the November 2025 version), which names entities not authorised to offer forex trading to Indian residents. If you live in India, treat this as a serious legal risk under local foreign-exchange rules.
- Turkey: In September 2025 the Capital Markets Board (SPK) blocked a batch of sites, including a domain imitating FBS. This is mainly a warning about clones, but it shows that leveraged forex is tightly restricted there.
- Other countries: Aggregator sites report warnings from regulators in Malaysia, Brazil and Ukraine over a lack of local authorisation. We could not confirm each notice on the regulators' own pages, so check them yourself if you live there.
- Pakistan: No Pakistani authority licenses offshore retail forex brokers, so you would have no local regulator to complain to.
- Bangladesh, Nigeria, Egypt: We did not find a notice that names FBS in these countries. But unlicensed forex trading is restricted or warned about in each of them, and Nigeria has also tightened its law on operating online forex platforms, so local protection is thin.
Our view: FBS is a large, established offshore broker with real risks that depend on your country. If you trade with it, you accept that you are using an offshore company and that local courts and regulators may not be able to help you.
FBS account types
FBS offers several account types, and not every type is open in every country. The official homepage shows one headline set of conditions: a $5 minimum deposit, no commission, spreads "from 0.7 pips" and leverage up to 1:3000. It does not list each account separately in the text we could read. Third-party reviews describe a split like the one below, but their numbers disagree with each other, so confirm what you see after registering.
| Account | Typical profile | Costs |
|---|---|---|
| Cent | Beginners and very small balances, trading in cent lots | Floating spread, normally no separate commission; entry level is low |
| Standard | General-purpose account for most new traders | Spread only, no commission on the official "from" conditions |
| Zero Spread | Short-term traders who want a very low spread | Very low spread plus a commission per lot; higher entry level reported |
| ECN | Experienced traders on forex pairs | Raw-style spread plus commission; highest entry level reported |
We do not publish exact commission or minimum deposit numbers for each type, because they change and we could not verify them on a current official page. Only the headline $5 minimum comes from FBS itself. Higher minimums are reported for the professional account types. The cashier and the account-opening screen show the real figures for your country.
Spreads, commissions and other costs
FBS advertises spreads "from 0.7 pips" and zero commission on its headline conditions. The words "from" matter. The actual spread changes with the instrument, the time of day, news events and the account type. Gold and the major currency pairs usually show the tightest spreads, while exotic pairs, stocks and crypto CFDs are wider.
Besides the spread, watch these costs:
- Swaps: a fee or credit for holding a position overnight. Islamic swap-free accounts are available for eligible clients on request.
- Commission: applies on the Zero Spread and ECN style accounts, not on the headline account.
- Payment costs: some providers, banks or mobile wallets charge their own fees, separate from the broker.
- Currency conversion: if your account is in dollars and you pay in rupees, taka or naira, the exchange rate adds a hidden cost.
Read our guide on spreads and swaps to learn how to compare costs between brokers. Advertised leverage up to 1:3000 sounds attractive, but it also means a tiny price move can wipe out a small balance. Our lots and leverage guide explains why lower leverage is safer for beginners.
How to open an FBS account: 5 steps
- Open FBS through our partner link and choose "Register". Use a personal email address you control.
- Enter your country, email and a strong password, and confirm your email address.
- Complete your profile and verification: a government photo ID and proof of address, using your real name.
- Open a demo account first, then a real account of the type you choose, and select MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5.
- Deposit a small amount through a method shown in your cashier, and practise with a stop loss on every trade.
A more detailed walkthrough is in our guide how to register with FBS. Accounts opened with false data or someone else's identity are usually frozen at withdrawal time, so do not take that risk.
Deposits and withdrawals for Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria and Egypt
Payment options differ by country and can change without notice. FBS support pages list e-wallets such as Skrill and Neteller, cards, bank transfer and cryptocurrency among its payment systems, but some of those pages are old. Third-party sites also mention JazzCash and Easypaisa for Pakistan, bKash and Nagad for Bangladesh, and USDT on the TRC20 network. We could not verify the local wallets on FBS's own pages, so treat them as possibilities, not promises. Open the cashier after logging in and use only the methods listed there.
- Pakistan: mobile wallets, e-wallets and USDT are the methods most often reported. Banks may decline payments to offshore brokers, so a failed payment can come from your bank and not from FBS.
- Bangladesh: Bangladesh Bank has warned about unlicensed foreign-exchange trading, and mobile payment providers have been told to block forex-related payments. Check what works in your cashier and never send money to a personal wallet.
- Nigeria: bank transfer and USDT are commonly mentioned. Keep records of every transfer.
- Egypt: The Financial Regulatory Authority issued a general warning about unlicensed platforms in May 2026. Choose methods that appear in your own cashier.
The FBS help centre sets out clear withdrawal rules. Withdrawals go only to the payment systems, cards or wallets used for your deposits, never to a third party, and the name on the payment account must match your trading account. Card deposits are returned to the card first. Other methods can be withdrawn in any order up to the amount deposited through each one. Profits can then go to any non-card method. FBS says its finance department reviews each request within 24 hours. After approval, digital wallets are described as same day, and bank or card payments take 2 to 7 business days. Each withdrawal is confirmed with a one-time code sent by email or SMS. For more detail, read our FBS deposit guide.
Verification
FBS will ask you to confirm your identity and address, and all withdrawals go through anti-money-laundering checks. Upload clear colour photos of a valid ID and a recent utility bill or bank statement with your name and address. The most common delays come from blurry images, mismatched names, or documents that are too old. Complete verification before you need to withdraw, not after.
Platforms and tools
FBS offers MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 for Windows, macOS, Android and iOS, plus the FBS app, which the official site offers for download including an APK file for Android. The app is used for account management, deposits, withdrawals and quick trading. A demo account and free learning materials are available. The broker also runs a copy-trading service, FBS CopyTrade, which lets you follow other traders. Copying is not a shortcut to profit: the people you copy can lose money, and so can you. If you are not sure which MetaTrader version to choose, our MT4 vs MT5 guide explains the difference.
Who FBS suits, and who should avoid it
FBS may suit beginners who want to practise with a very small real balance, and traders who value MetaTrader and a simple mobile app. It is a poor choice if you live in India, where the broker is on the RBI Alert List, or if you need a locally regulated company with a deposit-protection scheme. It is also a poor choice if you are tempted by high leverage: a small account at 1:3000 can be closed by a very small move.
If you would rather compare, look at Exness or Weltrade, and read how to choose a broker. You can also check the FBS bonus page to see which promotions exist and what strings are attached.
Honest disadvantages
- Regulator warnings: the RBI Alert List in India and cloned domains blocked in Turkey.
- Offshore regulation: for most of our readers, the company on the contract is not licensed in their own country.
- Advertised leverage and bonus credit can push beginners into oversized trades.
- Payment options differ by country, and banks sometimes block payments to offshore brokers.
- Users' reviews often mention verification delays and requests for extra documents, and disputes over bonus conditions. These are common complaints, not a verified rate.
- The official site we read gives only headline conditions, so you must check the real spread and commission on your own account.
On the loss data: the FBS homepage cites a statistic that "nearly 30%" of traders succeed, based on a third-party study across brokers. We did not find a standard retail-loss percentage disclosure on the page we read. Do not take the marketing number as a forecast for your own results, and ask your broker for the risk disclosure that applies to your entity.
Summary
FBS is a well-known offshore broker with a very low entry point and the standard MetaTrader platforms, and also a broker with regulator warnings that you must take seriously. Start with a demo, read the legal documents for your own entity, verify early, keep leverage low, and never deposit money that you need for rent or food.

Risk warning: Forex and CFDs are complex instruments and carry a high risk of losing money quickly because of leverage. A large share of retail clients lose money, so check the percentage disclosed by your broker. Trade only with money you can afford to lose. This page is general information, not financial or legal advice, and you must be at least 18. Check the laws in your own country before opening an account.
