How to reach AMarkets safely
Auron FX is an independent guide. It is not the official website of AMarkets, it does not hold your money, and it cannot see your trading account. The buttons on this page open AMarkets through our partner link, so AMarkets may pay us a commission if you open an account. That does not change your trading costs or the conditions the broker gives you.
Fake broker pages are common. Before you type a password, check that the address in the browser is the real AMarkets domain and that the page loads over HTTPS. Be careful with copy-cat sites, with Telegram or WhatsApp "managers" who ask you to send money to a private wallet, and with anyone who asks for your password or one-time codes. A real broker does not ask for these things.

What AMarkets is and who runs it
AMarkets is an online broker for forex, metals, energies, indices and other CFDs. Its website says it has served clients since 2007. The brand is sometimes searched as AM Markets or Amarkets forex, but it is one company group. Clients can trade on MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, in a web terminal, or in the AMarkets mobile app, and the platform also offers copy trading.
The group works through several legal entities, and the footer of the official site lists them. AMarkets LTD is shown with licence T2023284 under the Mwali International Services Authority in the Comoros. AMarkets LLC is shown with registration LLC14486/2023 in the Cook Islands, and a third entity is shown with registration 22567 BC 2015 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The site also says the company is a member of The Financial Commission, whose compensation fund covers up to 20,000 euro per claim. Read the client agreement in your own account to see which entity you are contracting with.
Is AMarkets legit? The honest answer
AMarkets is not a typical fake website. It has operated for many years and publishes legal entities, account conditions and a complaints body. But "legit" is not the same as "strongly regulated", and the regulatory picture needs to be read with care.
- Offshore licensing. The main licence is from Mwali in the Comoros. Independent review sites rate it as a low-tier offshore regime without a state compensation scheme, and some reports question the standing of the Mwali authority itself. Treat this as limited protection, and check the register yourself.
- Registrations are not licences. Entries in the Cook Islands and St. Vincent are company registrations. Do not read them as a forex trading licence from a major regulator.
- Warnings from other regulators. Broker-comparison sites list warnings from some foreign regulators about AMarkets lacking authorisation in their countries. The dates differ between sources, so we do not repeat them as fact. Search the regulator's own website for the current position.
- India: in our research AMarkets was not on the Reserve Bank of India Alert List, which names entities not authorised to offer forex to Indian residents. That is not a licence, and Indian law on foreign-exchange trading still applies to you.
- Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Egypt: AMarkets does not list these countries among its restricted jurisdictions, so you may be able to register. But it has no local licence there, and local regulators have issued general warnings about unlicensed forex. You would have no local regulator to complain to.
Our view: AMarkets is an established offshore broker with a clear account structure, and also a broker whose legal protection is weaker than that of a firm regulated in the UK, EU or Australia. Use only money you can afford to lose.
AMarkets account types
The official account page lists three types. The figures below come from that page, and they can change, so confirm them in your own account after registering.
| Account | Min. deposit | Spread | Commission | Platforms |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | $100 | Floating, from 1.3 pips | None on currency pairs and metals | MT4, MT5 |
| ECN | $200 | Floating, from 0.2 pips | $2.5 per side per lot (EUR/USD) | MT4, MT5 |
| Zero | $200 | Floating, from 0 pips | $5.5 per side per lot (EUR/USD) | MT5 only |
All three accounts are in US dollars, use market execution, show maximum leverage "up to 1:3000", and state negative balance protection. The stop-out level is 20% on Standard and 40% on ECN and Zero. An optional Islamic (swap-free) version is offered for each type, but the page does not explain the terms, so ask support for the conditions in writing. Commission is charged when a position is opened. The Zero account is described as having zero spreads on majors and metals most of the time, which is a marketing claim you should test on a demo account.
Leverage of 1:3000 is a risk, not a benefit. With that much leverage a small price move can wipe out the margin on a position. Many beginners should use far lower leverage in practice, and our guide to lots and leverage shows why.
Spreads, commissions and other costs
The spread numbers above are "from" values, meaning the best case. Real spreads widen around news and at the market open, and they differ by instrument. Your total cost is the spread, any commission, overnight swap charges and the cost of moving money in and out. Compare the all-in cost for the pair you will actually trade, not the headline figure. Read our spreads and swaps guide to do that fairly.
The company also advertises a programme that reimburses deposit fees charged by payment systems. Check the current wording on the promotions page, because a refund promise can have limits that the short description does not show.
How to open an AMarkets account: 5 steps
- Open the registration page through the partner button on this page and select your country of residence correctly.
- Enter your details, create a strong password and confirm your email address.
- Complete the profile and upload verification documents: a valid ID and proof of address.
- Open a demo account first and place a few test trades with virtual money.
- Open a live Standard, ECN or Zero account and deposit only what you can afford to lose.
A fuller walkthrough is in our guide how to register with AMarkets. Use your real name and real documents. Accounts opened with false data are commonly frozen at withdrawal time.
Deposits and withdrawals for Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria and Egypt
We could not verify a list of payment methods for these four countries on the official pages, which only point to a deposit and withdrawal section inside the account. Do not rely on a third-party site that promises JazzCash, Easypaisa, bKash, Nagad or a local Nigerian bank route. Log in, open the cashier and use only the methods that it lists for your account.
- Pakistan: banks may decline payments to offshore brokers, so a failed payment can come from your bank and not from AMarkets.
- Bangladesh: Bangladesh Bank has warned that trading foreign exchange without a licence breaks local rules, and mobile payment providers have been told not to process forex payments. Never send money to a personal wallet.
- Nigeria: Nigerian law now targets operators of unregistered online forex platforms, and a new licensing regime has been proposed. If a method involves crypto, keep records of every transfer.
- Egypt: the Financial Regulatory Authority issued a general warning about unlicensed platforms in May 2026. Use only methods that appear in your own cashier.
Withdrawals normally return to the method used to deposit, and processing time depends on the method and the bank. One review site reports one to three days for bank transfers and cards, but this is not an official figure. See the AMarkets deposit guide for more detail.
Verification. Expect a request to confirm identity and address before your first withdrawal. Upload clear colour photos of a valid ID and a recent utility bill or bank statement. Delays usually come from blurry images, mismatched names or old documents. Do this early, not on the day you need the money.
Platforms and tools
AMarkets offers MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, web terminals for both, and its own AMarkets mobile app. The company also promotes copy trading for investors and traders, which is a platform feature and carries the same risk as trading yourself, because past results of another trader do not predict yours. For a comparison of the two MetaTrader versions, read MT4 vs MT5. Setup help is on our AMarkets download page.
Who AMarkets suits, and who should avoid it
AMarkets may suit a trader who wants a low entry deposit, ECN pricing on MetaTrader, and optional bonuses, and who understands that the broker is offshore. It is a poor choice if you need strong regulatory protection, if you are tempted by 1:3000 leverage, or if you cannot risk losing your deposit.
If you want to compare, look at Exness or Weltrade, and read how to choose a broker. You can also read the AMarkets bonus page before you accept any bonus.
Honest disadvantages
- Offshore regulation with limited investor protection, and doubts about the standing of the Mwali authority in some reports.
- No local licence in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nigeria or Egypt.
- Extremely high maximum leverage, which raises the risk of fast losses.
- Bonus terms are only summarised in public, so you must ask for full conditions in writing.
- User reviews often mention verification delays and disputes about bonus-related withdrawals. These are common complaints, not a verified rate.
Summary
AMarkets is a long-running offshore broker with simple account tiers, MT4 and MT5, and a low starting deposit. It is also a broker with weaker legal protection than top-tier regulated firms. Start with a demo, read the client agreement for your own entity, verify early, avoid maximum leverage, and never deposit money you need for rent or food.

Risk warning: Forex and CFDs are complex instruments and carry a high risk of losing money quickly because of leverage. A large share of retail clients lose money, so check the percentage disclosed by your broker. Trade only with money you can afford to lose. This page is general information, not financial or legal advice, and you must be at least 18. Check the laws in your own country before opening an account.
