What you can download
AMarkets works through several tools, and beginners often mix them up. The AMarkets app is the broker's own mobile app. MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 are separate platforms made by MetaQuotes, and you connect them to your AMarkets account using a login and a server name. There are also web terminals that run in a browser and need no installation.

AMarkets app for Android
The official site says the AMarkets app is available on Google Play, the Galaxy Store and as an Android APK. The simplest and safest option is Google Play. Search for AMarkets, check that the publisher is the right company, look at the update date, and tap Install.
An APK is an installation file outside the store. Use one only if it comes from your own AMarkets account or the official website, and never from a Telegram channel, a forum or a random download site. A modified APK can steal your password and your funds. After installing, switch "install unknown apps" off again for that browser or file manager.
AMarkets app for iPhone and iPad
Open the App Store, search for AMarkets or MetaTrader, and install the app. If it is not visible, the cause is often your App Store region. Changing the country of an Apple account affects subscriptions and payment methods, so check Apple's rules before changing it, or use the web terminal in your phone browser.
MT4 and MT5: install and choose the server
Download MetaTrader from the links in your AMarkets account or on the official platform pages. The installation is easy. The login step is where mistakes happen.
- Open your AMarkets account and select the trading account you want to use. Note the login number, the trading password and the server name.
- Install MT4 or MT5 and start it.
- Choose "Login to trade account", then search for the server name from your account. The official MT5 links mention server names beginning AMarkets-Demo and AMarkets-Real, but copy the exact name shown for your own account.
- Enter the login and trading password, and press OK. The terminal should show a connection status and moving prices.
- If you are still testing, connect to a demo account first.
MT4 works with MT4 accounts and MT5 works with MT5 accounts. The Zero account is MT5 only, so you cannot log in to it from MT4. Standard and ECN accounts are offered on both.
Windows, Mac and web terminals
For Windows, AMarkets provides an installer on its MetaTrader 5 page. For Mac, it provides a MetaTrader 5 package and a written guide for installing on macOS. The web terminals for MT5 and MT4 need only a browser, which helps if you cannot install software on a work computer. Using a demo account in the app
You can open a demo account and connect to it with a demo login and the demo server. Demo accounts use virtual money, so they are a safe way to learn the order window, stop loss and take profit. Spreads and execution on a demo account can differ from live trading, so do not treat demo results as a promise of real results.
Common errors and quick fixes
- Invalid account: the login, password or server does not match. Copy all three exactly from your account, and check that you did not mix a demo login with a real server.
- No connection: check your internet, switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, or try another server from the list. Some networks block trading ports.
- Server not found: in MT5, search the exact server name and scan for servers again. Update the app if the list is empty.
- Wrong password: the trading password differs from your account password. Reset it from the account menu.
- Zero account will not open in MT4: Zero is MT5 only, so install MT5.
- App not working after an update: restart the phone, clear the app cache or reinstall from the official store.
First steps after installing
Spend ten minutes on the settings before placing any order. Set a passcode or fingerprint lock on your phone, turn on any two-step verification the account offers, and check which account is active, because a demo and a live account can look alike on a small screen. Many beginners place a trade on the wrong account for exactly this reason.
Then open a chart of one instrument you know, such as EUR/USD or gold, and read the bid and ask prices. The gap is the spread. Use the demo account to open an order, set a stop loss and a take profit, and close it. Learn what the lot size means before you use real money, because a larger lot moves your balance faster in both directions. Keep the app updated, avoid trading on public Wi-Fi without a secure connection, and log out on shared devices.
If you plan to use copy trading inside the AMarkets app, treat it as a separate decision. Copying another trader means your balance follows their positions, including their losses, and a strong past record does not guarantee future results. Start with a small amount, read how fees and stop rules work for the service, and be ready to stop copying at any time. For a first week, practising manually on a demo account teaches you more about risk than any copied trade.
If something looks wrong after you log in, such as a balance that does not match your records or a trade you did not place, change your password at once and contact support from inside your account, not through a link sent by a stranger.
Download safety
Use only Google Play, the App Store, the Galaxy Store or links from your own AMarkets account or the official site. Avoid "hacked", "mod" or "premium unlocked" versions, profit bots and files sent in chat groups. They are a common way to steal accounts. Use a unique password and never share one-time codes with anyone who claims to be AMarkets support.
